The site is identified in the Housing Trajectory supporting the Crawley Borough Local Plan 2023-2040 as a site that could come forward for residential use as part of the Town Centre 'Broad Location' in years 6-16 of the Local Plan period. The potential for development of the site will vary according to whether or not the fire station remains on site. The minimum figure of 0 reflects the fact that an all-commercial development scheme may be acceptable. The maximum figure of 48 units based on the figure given in the Crawley Borough Local Plan Housing Trajectory, and assumes removal of fire station from the site.
