Notes

Former community hall within Prudhoe that was originally a drill hall but was last utilised as a gym. The building has been vacant and available for redevelopment once cleared. Scheme for demolition and redevelopment 6 terraced houses permitted in 2016 (16/02306/FUL). The hall has been part demolished but it is understood that there are complications with the project and work has now halted. As a result, there have been two applications approved for erection of security fencing to make the site safe (19/04685/FUL, 20/00373/FUL). Despite there being no substantive progress to date on the residential aspect of the development, the permission has been implemented through initial site works, so it will not lapse. It is possible that the landowner will still be keen to take forward a development but there is no prospect of this in the immediate term. Whilst the permission will not lapse, and the theoretical capacity from the extant planning permission remains, the future delivery of all outstanding units is currently discounted. If/when new information becomes available to suggest a change to this position, then deliverability can be appraised.
