Cleared land close to Berwick town centre that comprises of vacant hardstanding. The site had providing car parking for the adjacent retail unit. However, the shop has been demolished and a new office development has been constructed in replacement. Residential development on this particular vacant site could complement the recently completed commercial scheme. A higher-density could be fitting given the central location, with a flatted/apartment scheme potentially being appropriate. It is known that there is interest in taking forward a project and it is understood that the site has recently been sold. Currently considered developable in the medium-term (6 to 10 years). Allocated for housing in the Northumberland Local Plan (2022).
