Alnwick Fire Station

Former fire station, which was made surplus to requirements following relocation of the fire service to new premises. On account of this, the site was identified as a housing allocation in the Alnwick and Denwick Neighbourhood Plan (Site H2-6). However, an application for change of use to provide a mixed-use scheme comprising business (B1/B8) and training use (D1) was permitted in 2019 (19/01702/FUL).The building has now been converted to host this use and, as a result, the site will not be available for redevelopment in the foreseeable future and no residential development is forecast within the plan period at present. However, this position could change in the longer-term, and the site remains an allocated site in the Alnwick and Denwick Neighbourhood Plan (2018).
