Site that had been operating as a haulage yard since the 1950s but has been vacant since the business ceased trading in 2009. Premises comprises of a number of semi-derelict traditional stone buildings and areas of hardstanding. Identified for redevelopment, with clearance and remediation required prior to an infill scheme progressing. An initial application for demolition of the remaining workshops and outbuildings and construction 4 cottages was permitted in 2016 (15/03380/FUL). However, this development was not progressed. A revised proposal was then submitted and approved in 2018, for a development of 5 homes (18/01897/FUL). This supersedes the earlier permission. Scheme comprises 2 detached properties and 3 terraced homes. Site works commenced in 2019. Development of 5 dwellings completed in 2020/21.
