Partially located within Halstead urban confines the site is considered sustainable. The existing access onto Knockholt Road could be utilised. Development in the southern part of the site would create an unnatural extension to the settlement. Overall the northern portion of the site is considered able to accommodate development however it is located within the Green Belt so this designation would need to change in order for it to be developed.
