Site allocated as part of the Local Plan.. The site extends to 14.5 hectares and consists of part of the former colliery site and spoil tip and is brownfield therefore. To the north of the site is the wider former colliery site which is now under construction for housing. The new IPort strategic distribution facility is under construction to the west of the site and further colliery restoration to the south.
