Additional Notes
Allocated as Site I in the 2009 Wellingborough Town Centre Area Action Plan. Retail uses sought on ground floor as part of a mix of uses being sought on site pursuant to Part 2 Local Plan (Policy TC 8). The main post office building fronting Midland Road was shut in early 2019 leaving the whole site vacant. The site formed part of the Stalled Sites project undertaken across North Northamptonshire in 2020. This identified several issues that could be limiting the progress of the site, particuarly issues of viability.
