Additional Notes
Previously assessed through SHLAA as site 898. Little progress on the site so far. It remains a working scrapyard although the landowner did give an indication of a willingness to develop the site as part of the Plan for the Borough of Wellingborough (PBW) process. Site was therefore allocated as Policy Site 7 in the PBW to deliver in the region of 40 dwellings. The Leys Rd/Highfield Rd site was included in the Stalled Sites project undertaken across North Northamptonshire in 2020. This study concluded that the site was viable for a development in accordance with the PBW policy. The landowner continues to express a willingness to develop.
